Privacy Policy

Account information.When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and company name. We use magic link authentication—we do not collect or store passwords.

Usage data. We collect information about how you use LodeIQ, including reports generated, queries submitted, engines used, and feature interactions. This helps us improve the platform and deliver relevant intelligence.

Device and browser information. We automatically collect standard technical information such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and referring URLs when you access our platform.

Payment information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or bank account details. We receive only transaction confirmation data (amount, date, subscription status) from Stripe.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our intelligence platform
• Generate synthesis reports in response to your queries
• Process transactions and manage your credit balance
• Send service-related communications (account confirmations, usage alerts, product updates)
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our synthesis engines and data quality
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not use your information for advertising purposes. We do not sell your personal information.

LodeIQ uses artificial intelligence to synthesize intelligence reports from open data sources. When you submit a query, your query text and relevant contextual parameters are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for processing.

Your data is not used to train AI models. Neither LodeIQ nor Anthropic uses your queries or report content to train or improve AI models. Anthropic's API usage policies provide that API inputs and outputs are not used for model training.

AI-generated reports are synthesized from publicly available data sources and our proprietary graph database. Reports include provenance citations and confidence scores so you can assess the underlying evidence.

Your data is stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure:

• Account and usage data in PostgreSQL (hosted on Neon)
• Graph intelligence data in Neo4j Aura
• Application hosting on Vercel and AWS

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. We implement access controls, monitoring, and regular security reviews appropriate to the sensitivity of the data we hold. Our infrastructure providers maintain SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant compliance certifications.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system is completely secure. If we become aware of a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate our platform:

• Stripe— payment processing (receives your payment method details directly)
• Anthropic— AI synthesis (receives query text for report generation)
• AWS— infrastructure and email delivery
• Vercel— application hosting
• Neon— database hosting

We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LodeIQ, our users, or others.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your personal information and account
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing

We use minimal cookies necessary to operate the platform:

• Session cookies— required for authentication via magic link. These are httpOnly, secure, and expire when your session ends or after a set inactivity period.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not participate in cross-site tracking or ad networks.

We retain your account information and usage data for as long as your account is active. Generated reports are retained in your account history until you delete them or close your account.

If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics (which cannot identify you) may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement.

LodeIQ Inc. is a Canadian company and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). In accordance with PIPEDA's ten fair information principles:

• We are accountable for the personal information in our custody
• We identify the purposes for which information is collected before or at the time of collection
• We obtain meaningful consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information
• We limit collection to what is necessary for identified purposes
• We use and disclose personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected
• We retain personal information only as long as necessary
• We keep personal information accurate, complete, and up to date
• We protect personal information with appropriate safeguards
• We are open about our policies and practices
• We provide individuals with access to their personal information upon request

If you believe we have not handled your information in accordance with PIPEDA, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of LodeIQ after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
